Terms of Agreement and Privacy Policy for Syntio Inc doing business as Meet!

Welcome to Syntio Inc.'s (“Syntio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) speed networking app, “Meet!”. By accessing or using our app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Agreement and Privacy Policy (“Terms”), as well as any applicable laws and regulations. Please read these Terms carefully before using our app.

1.       Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our app, you acknowledge that you have read and understand these Terms, and you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our app.

2. Use of Our App

a. Registration and Account Information

To use our app, you must register for an account and provide accurate and complete information about yourself, including your name, age, gender, email address, and phone number. You must also provide a profile picture and other information as requested by the app.

b. SMS Phone Verification

To protect the security and integrity of our app, we use SMS phone verification to authenticate your account. By providing your phone number, you consent to receive text messages from us for the purpose of account verification.

c. RSVP for Events

You may RSVP for speed networking events through our app. By RSVPing, you agree to attend the event and to pay the applicable fee, if any.

d. In-Person Speed Networking

We host in-person speed networking events at specific restaurants/bars/public venues. You agree to comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations while attending our events, and to behave in a courteous and respectful manner towards other attendees.

e. Content Creation and Posting

We may take video or make content of you networking during our events. We reserve the right to post this content on our social media platforms, and you acknowledge and agree that you have no right to control or restrict our use of such content. You further acknowledge and agree that you will not be compensated for any use of your name, image, or likeness in our content.

f. Refunds

All sales of tickets or reservations for our networking events are final, and we do not offer refunds under any circumstances.

g. User Information and Analytics

We may collect user information generated from users' interactions for the purpose of analytics. This information can include rankings, whether or not users liked each other, whether or not users decided to share their contact information with each other, the names, gender, ages, interests, and any other information we find relevant. We may use this information to improve our app and services, but we will not disclose it to third parties without your consent.

h. User Conduct and Liability

You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for your conduct on our app and during our events. We are not liable for any damages or harm that may result from your use of our app or your attendance at our events. You further acknowledge and agree that you will not engage in any conduct that is illegal, abusive, defamatory, or harassing, and that you will not use our app for any unauthorized or illegal purposes.

i. Chat Feature

Our app has a chat feature that allows users to chat with each other after the event. We have no liability or responsibility for the discussions/actions that transpire from the users chatting with each other on our app.

j. Blocking and Banning Users

We reserve the right to block or ban users from our platform for any reason, without providing any justification or reason. We also reserve the right to take any action we deem necessary if we find a user's profile information or content inappropriate, including removing or blocking them

k. GPS based location of Users

Our application critically relies on background location access to fulfill its core purpose and deliver value to our users. The essence of our app lies in authentic interaction between users within a specific physical location, ensuring that they are present at the destination before they can engage. The background location access is paramount in verifying the physical presence of the users, which is paramount for the integrity and efficacy of our service. This why we require the GPS location of all users to ensure that they can participate in the service we provide.

3. Information Collection and Use

We collect certain personal information from you in order to provide our services and ensure the best possible user experience. This information may include your name, email address, phone number, location, gender, date of birth, interests, photos, and other information you provide us. We use this information to create your profile, provide you with matches and event information, and improve our services and features. By using our services, you agree to our collection and use of this information in accordance with this Privacy Policy/Terms of Agreement.

4. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. However, we may share your personal information with third-party service providers to perform certain business functions on our behalf, such as payment processing. 5. User Content

By using our services, you agree to allow us to use any content you provide on our platform, including photos and videos for promotional and advertising purposes. We may use this content in our marketing materials, website, or social media accounts, and you hereby grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to use and display this content.

6. Cancellations of Events

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any event, and in such cases, we will provide you with a credit or refund at our sole discretion.

7. User Conduct

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users on our platform and during our events. We do not conduct background checks or verify the identity of our users, and we are not responsible for any actions or behaviors of our users before, during, or after events. You agree to use our services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and to act in a respectful and appropriate manner at all times. We reserve the right to remove any user or content that we deem inappropriate or in violation of these terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any damages, including without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, arising out of or in connection with the use of our services or events. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information provided on our platform, and we are not responsible for any errors or omissions. We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your reliance on information or advice obtained through our services or events.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy/Terms of Agreement

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy/Terms of Agreement at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website, and your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

10. Termination of Account

Termination: We have the right to block/ban users from our platform, and we do not have to provide any justification or reason. If we find a user's profile information/content inappropriate, we have the right to take any action we deem necessary, whether it be removing/blocking them from the App, or not allowing them to attend/rsvp events through the app or in real-time during the events

11. Events exclusive to gender/sexual orientation

We host events that are specific to cis-gender straight users who strictly identify as male or female. We will also host events that are specific to cis-gender gay users who strictly identify as gay/lesbian. We will also host events that are open to all spectrums of gender-queer who could or could not identify as non-binary. Our goal as a company is to provide networking events that are inclusive to all people. We will always create new ways to make sure this happens.

12. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older in the United States, or comply with the age restrictions defined by your country, to use the App.

13. User Generated Content

Users are responsible for the content they post on the App. The Company reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms and Conditions, or for any other reason. The Company does not claim ownership of any content that you post on the App.

14. Data retention and deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the App and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. You may request that we delete your information at any time by contacting us at the email address below.

15. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

By using our app and attending our events, you agree to abide by our code of conduct and refrain from any prohibited activities.

Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:

Harassment, intimidation, or any other form of abusive behavior towards other users or our staff.

Providing false information, including but not limited to age, gender, interests, and profile pictures.

Solicitation, advertising, or promotion of any kind without our prior written consent.

Engaging in any illegal activity or promoting any illegal activity.

Sharing or distributing any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or invasive of another's privacy.

Attempting to hack or exploit our app or events in any way.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against any user who violates our code of conduct or engages in prohibited activities. Such actions may include but are not limited to account suspension or termination, blocking of access to our app or events, or reporting to law enforcement authorities.

16. Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, and misuse. However, no data transmission over the Internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
